1925-2010

     A. Mennan Ersanli was born in 1925 in Kilis, a small city in Turkey . He was the third child of his family. His father was Mehmet Vakif Ersanli. He got his primary school education in Kilis. During his education, he spent his spare time working with his father who was a butcher and a cook. During this period, which was the period of difficulty and poverty, he served food to governmental mansion in Kilis. This gave him the opportunity to meet many politicians in Kilis. These politicians impressed him a lot and he used these impressions as wisdom and good manners later in his life.

     After finishing his service in Turkish Army in 1948, he was married to Kifayet Hanim. He moved to Ankara in 1949. He started to a small restaurant with his uncle in Samanpazari district in Ankara. In this restaurant, he prepared and served finest cuisine from Kilis. Despite being small, The restaurant served a high quality food at an affordable price.

     In 1951, his first child, Mehmet Ersanli, was born. Just one year after that, his second child Nuri Ersanli was born. In 1959, his third child Abdullah Ersanli was born. In 1966, his last child and only dauhgter Ayse Duman was born.

     He was always honest and hardworking. He gave really high importance to quality and customer satisfaction. These good attributes made him the manager of a restaurant called Cihan Palace, which was one of the most important restaurants in Ankara in that time. Here, he met many bureaucrats and he made a good social environment with these people.

     He was not only a good person, but also a good citizen. He was record-holder for tax payment in years 1996, 1997 and 1998 among the hotel owners.

     Unfortunately, we lost this important person on 10th, January 2010. He was a model for many people because of his honesty and diligence. God bless this valuable person.
